It is that time again for our annual food baskets.  Our delivery is scheduled for Sunday, December 17th after church services, weather permitting.  Many families within our community will be happy to receive this gift of love from our church.  Our shoppers are already hitting the grocery stores for deals.

To make this possible, monetary donations are needed from the congregation as it costs over $2,200 for our goal of 40 food baskets.

In addition, turkeys, hams and non-perishable food items and may be donated.  A collection box for non-perishable food items will be in the Narthex.  If you are donating a turkey or ham, please let Pam W. know and bring it to church the morning of delivery.  If storage is an issue, please contact me, as there is limited storage available if needed.

AND we need volunteers:

·        2nd-5th graders– To help during Sunday school on December 17th.  Do you have a grandchild or neighbor who would like to help with packing the food baskets?  Please consider asking them to help too.

·        Cookie Bakers– Asking all bakers to make 4+ dozen cookies of your favorite cookie recipe.  Cookies need to be delivered to church by noon on Saturday, December 16th, as we will prepare the cookie trays at that time.

Volunteers of all Ages–For 1-2 hours to prep cookie trays at noon on Saturday, December 16th, as well as volunteers to help prep and deliver baskets on Sunday, December 17th.  Sunday times are anytime between 10:30am – 2:00 pm.

Sign-up sheets are located in Fellowship Hall near the kitchen.

If you know someone who could use a food basket, please let Pastor Linda or me know.  We will need their name, address and phone number, or you can choose to deliver yourself.

Blessings to all,

Pam Wetherbee
